Also, are you guys going to explore any temperate rainforests while you are there? I recently read that Alaska do have rainforests! Interesting! Xoxo

  3. We're back from NYC so I'm catching up on your blog. What an amazing adventure! I've been working hard on my grad class and cutting & freezing bunches of apples (over 130 qts), but hope to email you soon.
    We had two surprises today--got to see your folks and Connie (and they brought us treats from their garden)plus we received your postcard! Thanks.

  4. Hi guys! Absolutely love the pictures, WOW, what amazing scenry. Looks like it is still wintertime! We are at the in NC now, Pine Knoll Shores! We have left Pulaski and Virginia that in the throes of a horrible storm aftermath. Check Google news of the issues of the derecho [de-RAY-c-ho], a cousin of a tornado that hit on Friday evening from Wytheville on a line to Delaware with winds up to 90 mph along the eastern edge of the storm...2.6 million people out of power as of Sunday morning with 100+ temperatures, uggh! Glad we are here, hot but a breeze! Keep up the great details oh, and Cheri, I want the recipes of the local food you cook! Found any Copper River salmon yet? Love ya!
