After a wonderful free breakfast we headed out around 10:00 this morning. Took 55 to Memphis and then over to I-40. Called Debbie and were able to work out running by and seeing her at her school. She looked great and we had a fun time showing off Bessie to her. We made sure she told Duke that we are taking 8 fishing poles with us… : ) We bought gas again in Wynne and only paid 3.11! that is the best price so far.
Made sun tea as we drove along the highway, thought that was awesome – and it tasted good too. Arrived in Fort Smith and parked at Wally world. We were picked up by a handsome young man, in a very clean car, : ) who took us home and gave us good southern sweet tea. We had a great time catching up with Harrison, but more about that later.
Had a wonderful dinner, steaks and tamales and shrimp and wonderful company! Later had a very good time catching up with Larry, Hannah and a not so great time trying to get the internet connected. But the evening with friends was refreshing and good for the soul.. they were great hosts as always and we hope to spend more time with them on the way back.

Had a wonderful morning with Harrison, and then headed back
to Wally World. After saying goodbye to
Harrison, we cleaned the windshield and headed out. Got to go thru the Ozarks, which were
beautiful, and thru Fayetteville – called the Hogs as we went by…. And thru
Kansas ( thought of you Cissy as we were in that state) and decided to stay in
Mitchell so we would be close to the Corn Palace the next day.
Found a wonderful campground in the small town, and parked for the night. Charlie roasted hot dogs and we went to the grocery store for the first time since we left. We only had to get slaw, buns and bread – and of course ice, it is hot so we are storing some of our food in the coolers too. Dinner was great and we were visited by a chip monk – little different from ours, lighter and bigger. The lake was just outside our window so we had a great view. Settled in for the night and I tried to catch up on my journal. At the site we had electricity, ( which meant AC) sewer, water and cable ( so we could see the weather) , we were living high on the hog! Met a nice couple from Oregon and took some hot showers in the camp ground. Very nice day.
